Our journey began in the heart of India’s farmlands, where foxnuts (makhana) have been cherished for centuries. We saw an opportunity to transform this ancient superfood into something extraordinary.

Working directly with local farmers, we’ve created a sustainable supply chain that honors traditional farming methods while bringing bold, modern flavors to Gen Z snackers worldwide.

How It Started

It all began with a simple question: “Why can’t healthy snacks be fun?”

As college students in 2020, we were tired of boring health foods and guilty pleasures. We wanted something that checked all the boxes—tasty, healthy, sustainable, and Instagram-worthy.

During a trip to Bihar, we discovered foxnuts being harvested from lotus flowers. The crunch was incredible, the nutrition was off the charts, and the potential was limitless. We knew we had found our calling.

Fast forward to today, nikori is reimagining Indian superfoods for a new generation. We’re on a mission to make healthy snacking not just acceptable, but absolutely irresistible.
